In many urban informal communities in Uganda, pregnancy can be one of the most vulnerable moments in a young woman’s life. Too many adolescents and young mothers face childbirth with limited support, unstable incomes, and little preparation for the journey ahead. When maternal health is fragile, the future of both mother and child becomes uncertain.
Sky RISE Hub was founded from a simple but urgent belief: no young mother should face pregnancy alone, and no baby should lose their mother because support came too late.
Our work focuses first on protecting the health and safety of young mothers and their babies. But we also recognise that maternal health does not exist in isolation. Poverty, lack of skills, limited support systems, and the absence of responsible father engagement all affect whether a young family can truly thrive.
That is why Sky RISE Hub brings together maternal health support, mentorship, and health-protective livelihood opportunities in one integrated model. By strengthening both wellbeing and economic resilience, we aim to help young families move from vulnerability to stability.
This initiative is deeply rooted in community values, faith, dignity, and the belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to rise above circumstances. We are especially committed to walking alongside those who are most excluded—pregnant adolescents, young mothers, and young families navigating difficult beginnings.
Our vision is simple yet powerful: healthier mothers, stronger families, and communities where every child begins life with hope.
We invite partners, supporters, and communities to join us in making this vision a reality.
Together, we can ensure that young mothers survive childbirth, families grow stronger, and futures are protected.
